Best Friends meeting - Thursday Jan 18

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT

IEPs will no longer be done with testing days in April and conferences in May. Please refer to the revised calendar from Dr. Johnson. IEPs are being done throughout the school year.

Your young adult's teacher will be asking for your input. The teachers will be sending home a paper with possible days and times. We will ask you to choose 3 days and times that work for you to come to school during the school day for the IEP conference. After reviewing your choices we will choose the day and time that is most beneficial to our schedule.

Jan 8-12

The calendar is not posted yet. Monday January 15th is Martin Luther King day and school is closed.

In the case of an early dismissal, suburban district buses may have students from another school on board. Those students also need to be dropped off. The additional stop may cause your young adult to arrive home later than usual. Even if Dr. Johnson calls an early dismissal, not all buses arrive at the designated time, which will also cause a delay in your young adult's arrival home. If you have concerns, your best source of information would be your young adult's driver or bus company.

Thank you for your understanding.

Monday Jan. 8

Thursday November 2nd Best Friends

Today, Friday October 27th a music teacher from Live Connections Voices 8 came and gave an excellent presentation to the students. The students actively participated and enjoyed the singing presentation. They learned the songs with different melodies, rhythms, and motions. A letter will be coming home asking if students would like to perform with this international Voices 8 group on a weekend in March. More details will follow.

After speaking with Dr. Johnson today, we believe she plans to allow students to dress down every time the Astros win.

Dr Johnson's text originally comes up as a 5 digit number. If you see a 5 digit number, usually with a 9 this could be her text.

We understand there is some confusion about dressing for tomorrow Thursday Oct 26th.

THERE WILL NOT BE A GROUP PICTURE TAKEN. AS PER THE MESSAGE FROM DR. JOHNSON, IF THE ASTROS WIN THERE IS A DRESS DOWN TOMORROW.
